Glenn McClenaghan is a chartered legal executive and the head of Commercial and Agricultural Property. He has considerable experience in all aspects of commercial and agricultural property, including sales and purchases, advising on commercial leases, handling development projects and ancillary documentation, as well as dealing with agricultural land. His expertise extends to sales and purchases of land, advising on agricultural tenancies, and supporting farm diversification projects. Glenn takes great pride in the customer service he provides, which has resulted in many of his clients remaining with him and his practice for the long term, or being recommended to use his services. He is a strong advocate of his practice’s ethos: being the approachable local lawyer whom clients can rely on to provide sound, professional advice in a timely manner.

Alison began her legal career at Brooke-Taylors in 1997, qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2006. After gaining further experience at a local firm, she rejoined Brooke-Taylors in March 2022 as a Director and Head of the Residential and Commercial Property Department. Following the merger of Brooke-Taylors into Lovedays Solicitors, Alison continues to lead the department, bringing extensive expertise in residential and commercial property transactions, unregistered land, agricultural land matters, complex lease arrangements, and representing management companies. She is well regarded for her strong working relationships with local estate agents and her loyal base of longstanding clients. Alison is dedicated to delivering an exceptional level of service, ensuring clear and consistent communication with clients, estate agents, and financial advisers throughout every transaction.

Iain Prendergast is a Trainee Solicitor in the Agricultural and Commercial Conveyancing department. He graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2022 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC). Iain typically works on property transactions, land transactions, and leases, and was drawn to this area of law by its complex and challenging nature. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the Peak District, and participating in a variety of sports.

Richard Horton is a Consultant Solicitor with extensive experience in residential and commercial property law. He enjoys working with families and small businesses, tailoring his approach to meet clients’ needs and offering home visits when required. Richard appreciates the lifestyle that beautiful mid-Derbyshire provides and, on occasion, enjoys getting involved in theatrical pursuits – oh yes he does.
